That's the entire policy. The rest of this page just explains what that means in enough detail to be useful, and to be checkable.
What Fates stores
Fates stores everything on your device, using your device's own app storage. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Specifically, it keeps:
- the wheels you create, and the options on them;
- spin history (up to your most recent spins)
- your preferences and settings;
- a flag recording whether you've unlocked the paid features.
This data belongs to your installation of the app. Uninstalling Fates removes it. There is no backup, no sync, and no way for me to see it — including if you ask me to, because it never reaches me.
What Fates doesn't do
- It makes no network requests.
- It contains no analytics or telemetry.
- It contains no advertising and no ad identifiers.
- It contains no third-party tracking SDKs.
- It has no accounts, no sign-in, and no profile.
- It does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, or microphone.
On Google Play's Data Safety form, Fates is declared as “Data Not Collected.” That declaration is accurate because there is no mechanism in the app by which data could be collected.
Purchases
Fates is free to use for up to five wheels. Unlocking more is a one-time purchase — not a subscription.
When you buy it, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. Google processes the payment and tells your device that the purchase exists; the app stores only that yes-or-no unlock flag. I never receive, see, or store your name, email address, or payment details. Google's handling of the transaction is covered by Google's privacy policy, not this one.
Children
Fates is not directed at children, and since it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.
Your rights
Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. I hold none, so there is nothing for those rights to reach. The data on your device is already entirely yours: you can view it in the app, change it in the app, and delete it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling.
Changes to this policy
If Fates ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date below will change. Older versions are in the site's public source history.
